As you\u2019re sitting at home working or finding any way to distract yourself from how slowly the time is passing, try looking in your pantry and refrigerator and seeing how many tooth-healthy foods and drinks you have. Read on for four simple ways you can boost your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.schumacherdental.com\/preventive-dentistry.html\">dental health<\/a> by incorporating certain foods in your diet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Supplements For Healthy Gums<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you feel as though your diet is lacking in certain\nvitamins and minerals, it might be time to consider taking supplements to boost\nyour oral and overall health. Are you eating enough of these nutrients?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Potassium:<\/strong> Not only does potassium\nimprove your bone density, but it also works together with magnesium to make\nsure that blood doesn\u2019t become too acidic. Not having enough potassium can\ncause damage to your mouth, including enamel erosion.<\/li><li><strong>Vitamin K:<\/strong> Bone strength is essential,\nespecially because the foundation of your pearly whites is your jawbone. Calcium helps\nstrengthen and protect your teeth, so consuming plenty of it can keep your\npearly whites from wearing away and becoming vulnerable against the threat of harmful\nbacteria. It will also help build the support for your mouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Snack on Fibrous Vegetables<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Even though the go-to snack for most people who are\nself-isolating at the moment is a bag of potato chips, that\u2019s not the best\nchoice for your mouth. Carbohydrates are a great food source for harmful oral\nbacteria, which can increase your risk of developing cavities. Instead, try\nsubstituting fibrous vegetables as a snack.
